Please Call me. My Mobile not Received !

[26/03 16:43] Manish Jalgaonkar [O+Ve ]: Please Give Answer !

He informed him that he has won a Smart phone Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and asked him to deposit the amount of Rs. 3499 against service tax in the name of Shop it India Pvt.Ltd

My friend deposited the amount in the given account. Neither he received any order confirmation nor the product and once the amount was received by that guy, he stopped receiving his calls.

So, before you purchase anything online;  keep in mind these things:

- Online shopping sites never ask for any bank deposit.

- Once you place any order; you receive a confirmation message along with order id and postage tracking number.

- With that tracking number, you can track your order shipment and know where it is and when it will be available to you.

- Always keep in mind that people who call you saying that you have won any XYZ precious  thing or an email stating that you have won certain amount then such cases are a mere fraud. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.

Important note: Beware shopping from shopittoday.in. The website has good ratings however their customer care number is either switched off or unreachable.

Stay away from such fraud websites. Hope this blog post will help you to do safe online shopping. Let me know how this post has helped you out.

Your suggestions, comments as to how my friend can overcome this situation and help to find out that guy will be much appreciable.

Why Should We Marry?

Hello Readers, Happy Propose Day :). Hope you celebrated Rose Day in a unique manner with your special one friends, family and anyone who plays an important role in your life. I am back again with a new thought. Read ahead and let me know your views, be it good or bad, I will accept it.

So, it's Propose Day and time to propose the one whom you love the most and wish to be your life partner. Well, before you think of tieing the knots; have a clear idea on why you are doing so? Is it your wish? Are you ready for the same? Or Are you doing this just because you adhere to society norms and conditions....

Our Indian culture has strong importance for marriage but I don’t understand whether individuals get married for own self or for the sake of the society. I have seen many individuals who don’t want to get married but just because their parents insist they get married.

Even worse I have seen some of my male friends getting tensed because they don’t get right partner at the right age. Now, here I want to clarify that there’s nothing like right age. But our concept behind marriage is different and hence we are dying hard to get “settled” at the right age.

Most of us get married for Sex because in India Sex before marriage is not allowed. This is our mind set. There’s no such rule like that. I will discuss later on what our legal rules say. Now, taking things ahead, basically a general thought prevails in our mind i.e. get married early get children early.

Again here, society plays an important role” first child Male”. To satisfy this condition, I cannot explain what turmoil a woman has to suffer from. Today, when I take a look at certain families; their last child is Male and just you ask the reason for it, you will get this reply: It is necessary to have one male child in family”.

In short, we get married for the society; we decide our children based on society norms. So, where’s the individuals’ personal feeling here, where has it lost? Does anyone think what he/she wants in life? What are his/her interests? What he/she wants to do in life? No. Such questions are thrown away.

Every individual has to live in the same cycle:
“Take birth> enjoy three years > go to school > Study till 12th > Complete Graduation/ Post graduation > Find a job > Settler or not, happy or not but get married> Keep fulfilling family responsibilities> Get older > Gather finance for children’s marriage, study etc > and what’s the end: If earning is good, stay with children or else leave for old age home.”

So, where is your freedom? Where are you? Did God gave you birth to get stuck in this circle? Where you enjoyed your own time? These questions remain unanswered because some of us have never ever thought of them.

Ask anyone, they will say it is mandatory to live in this cycle. No, there are no such legal rules for the same then how can it be mandatory?

What is more important Career or Marriage?

According to me, Career is more important than Marriage because if you have sound financial status then  you can spend good life with your family. I have seen couples saying “Only one Kid” why because there’s inflation and you cannot afford to rear more than one. There are very rare who think of India's population. Till now, in my life I haven't seen those who think about population and have one child.

No friends, we are not that selfless to think about Nation. We just think about ourselves.

What I say is why don’t you make yourself capable first and then get involved in such stuffs. Why you want to give birth to a single child and keep it alone for whole of its life. Why are you becoming so selfish? Again here, society comes in the middle: “It is mandatory to have children after marriage”.

How can you guarantee that this child will have good cousins, good friends? What if he/she doesn’t? Why to leave him/her to spend a lonely life?  Here, I would like to say my Parents are really great. Let me explain you why:

When I was 8 years old, say in 3rd STD, I saw all my classmates had at least one sibling and I was like feeling alone. So, I said to them: I need a brother or sister (at that time we are not mature to understand things).

When I was 10 years old, I got my sister. My mom was 37 that time and she was suffering from Asthma, doctor clearly said it’s risky but my mom took that risk for me and gave a gift “My Sister”.  Today, I am really thankful to them because they gave me a very good gift who is my best buddy in this world. I salute their selflessness.

Yes, my mom is a kind of person who has a feeling to have one baby boy in the family but she never regrets us nor she shows any kind of sadness for not having a male child. Today, she is suffering from paralysis and at this moment, she says “My one girl is equal to 100 boys”.

Well, here are some statistics that will show you what l am saying really matters:

I just want to say that:

Live your life your own way; not as per society norms.

Marry only if you want to irrespective of the age.

Every age is good for everything.

Do what you want to because no one will be with you on your death bed.

Think my readers, think about this. Yes, marriage is important but only when you are ready mentally, physically and find yourself capable enough to satisfy yourselves as well as your partner and children (At least two) and if you don’t want; its fine you two can enjoy a good lavish life.

But I request not to get stuck in these society norms and hurt your selves. Do what your heart says. Do what is of top priority to you and not to the society.

Note:  These are just my views and there’s no resemblance to anyone’s life or situations or circumstances. If there’s any then it is a mere coincidence.  Everyone’s opinion may differ however seeing the situation that youngsters are facing today, I decided to write this blog and with my story I have just tried to give a new direction to those who really believe “Life is what you want to make it, it is not struggle every time but yes if you want to make it a struggle , it is!.”

How did the Symbol of Heart Come into Existence?

The second month of the year 2016 has begun and almost one week has passed. February; as we all know is also known as “Month for lovers”. From 1st Feb; we all are eagerly waiting for Valentine’sDay to come.

Nowadays, apart from this Valentine’s Day; we also celebrate several other days like as Chocolate Day, Propose Day, Slap Day, Kick Day and What not.  The list of Valentine’s Week is as follows:

1. Rose Day – February 7, 2016 – Sunday

2. Propose Day – February 8, 2016 – Monday

3. Chocolate Day – February 9, 2016 – Tuesday

4. Teddy Day – February 10, 2016 – Wednesday

5. Promise Day – February 11, 2016 - Thursday

6. Kiss Day – February 12, 2016 – Friday

7. Hug Day – February 13, 2016 – Saturday

8. Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2016 – Sunday

So, today is the first day of Valentine’s Week. Now, whenever we say we love someone; what we use is the “Heart” symbol. So, are you people aware from where this heart symbol came into existence?
Why this symbol is used for heart? Does our heart really look like this? Well, not really; if you ask any science student they will let you know.

Well, don’t stretch your head any more. You will get the answer right away here. So, read ahead and discover the origin of )

Where did this symbol come from?

The heart symbol that we use today to express our feelings for our loved ones came into existence during middle Ages 13th- 14th Century.  At that time, this symbol was used to display Jesus Christ and his love towards mankind.

All Christians who were deeply devoted started using it in art and literature. Later, the use of this symbol increased in 15th Century and from 16th Century it gained huge popularity.

When in 1600s in England, Valentine’s Day was introduced; this “scalloped” shape was used to reflect new holiday.

So, what people used to express love before 13th Century?

The symbol that was used to display feelings of love was Capital S with a manuscript of French Roman de la poire.

“Interesting; if you ask people what is the shape of heart symbol? I bet 90% of you will get confused and the answer lies here; it is scalloped Shape.”

Later many changes took place in this shape. Several attempts were made to relate it to various geometric shapes.

From when did it actually began to symbolize Love?

a)  Usage of heart symbol as a form of love:

From 19th century, this symbol was used on Valentine’s Day cards, Candies and other such Arti-facts that actually symbolize romantic love. Later on in 1977, it was also used as logograph which means “To Love”.

b) Usage of this symbol In Video Games as well as Health industry:

Later, this scalloped shaped heart symbol was used to signify health, lives in various games. "You can see today if you play Candy Crush Saga and your lives are over then you will see that heart shape with “0” and once you get a life then it gets filled".

It is also used by restaurants indicating that they offer food that is healthy for your heart. One oil Company Saffola; uses this heart symbol to show that the oil is beneficial for your heart’s health.

This shows that the usage of this symbol in modern age has become more common like as hearts represent love in the bourgeois coats of arms.  Further, this became also popular in municipal coats.

Valentine’s shape is same as that in Disney Cartoon. According to Greek people; heart is the centre of emotion and soul and hence keeping this thing in mind, the so called “heart” shape was given red colour.

Egyptians believed that heart symbolizes life and morality. In the initial stages, heart was considered as a Sex symbol then it evolved to be a symbol of love and finally it was used to show eternal love. It is also used to denote spiritual love between Mankind and God.

So, just relax; you can always say I ) U to your God.

“Remember, when you send the heart emoticon to your special one via message then it means a lot rather than just devotion”. So, save your valuable feelings for someone Special. This denotes a very deep connection between two parties.”

Are you interested to know more about the history of “Heart” Then here you go.

Take Away:  Enjoyed knowing the roots of this symbol. Now, celebrate this Valentine Day with a difference where you know the actual meaning and this time you are not going to waste your feelings on anybody who doesn’t deserve.

Be Wise Choose Nice.

See you soon with next topic that will make your Propose Day a better one J Till then, Enjoy and Make Merry.

Who Are Real Parents?

Reading this title, for few moments you might be surprised and will start wondering what the article is all about? Obviously; real parents are our mom and dad or those who have given us birth. So, what’s new in that?

Yes, this is the thought most of my lovely readers will have and it is viable because we all have never gone in the depth to know what exactly “Parent” means? We just know who gives birth are our parents. That’s it sweet and simple.

But, have we ever wondered why we remember our parents? Why we call them as parents? The answer to this question is as follows:

Who are called “Parents”?
In Indian mythology, Lord Krishna is worshipped the most. Now, if I ask who is the mother of Lord Krishna? 90% of you will answer “Yashodha”. Why? Yashodha didn’t give birth to him. Still, we remember her as Krishna’s mother.

The reason: It is mother Yashodha who brought up Lord Krishna, took care of him as her own son  and supported him in every way physically, socially, financially and at all stages of life; be it good or bad. She took care of our beloved lord like as her own son. Hence, she is known as Krishna’s mother.
Lord Krishna’s biological mother was Devaki but she is not known or remembered much even though Krishna was in her womb for nine months!  Why? Actually we must remember her as his mother instead of Yashodha!

Another similar incident I want to share with is of “The Apple Founder; Steve Jobs”. Like our Lord, Steve Jobs had four parents; two mothers and two fathers; one who gave him birth and one who adopted him.
  • Paul and Clara Jobs (adoptive parents)
  •  Joanne Schieble Simpson and Abdulfattah Jandali (biological parents)

According to Steve Jobs; Paul and Clara Jobs are his real parents because they are the ones who themselves faced many difficulties while upbringing him while his biological parents are the just the sperm and ovum bank.

Now, from these two examples; I want to show only one thing that “Real Parents are those who actually are with us in good and odd times, who support us and who encourage us, motivate us, who frame us into good citizen apart from just having a biological relationship”.

Even if you look at the definition of Parenting; you will realize what actually the meaning of Parents is. Let’s know from where did the word “Parent” arrive? What is its definition? What does it actually mean?

How did the term ‘Parent’ come into existence?
This word that we speak several times has arrived from Old French parent which used to mean” father” till early 15th century. It is arrived from the Latin term “Parentem” which means father or, mother, ancestor and in late 15th century; it was used as a synonym for “Elder”.

According to Wikipedia, Parenting is the technique used to promote and support the child physically, emotionally, socially as well as financially. It refers to the upbringing up of child rather than just having biological relationship. “

Back to the topic:

Hence, if I compare this above mentioned definition with the examples that I have given here; I can say that we only remember our Parents because they have done many things for us. They have supported us from childhood till adulthood.

They have taken care of us in good and bad times. They have encouraged us, pushed us, shown us the right way in our lives and hence we are able to succeed. We don’t remember them because they gave birth to us; we remember them because they gave us gifts, paid our school fees, bought us good clothes, took us to various places and have enjoyed with us, cried with us.

So, think friends how selfish we are! The day we stop getting things from them or they fail to fulfill our demands; we don’t hesitate to bad mouth them, we don’t hesitate to say them that they don’t know anything about the world!
We don’t even think when we speak in front of them.  Even when they need our help; we are unwilling to help them.

It’s time to think that if we behave in the same manner then the days are very near when even If we will shower  tons of cash on our children, fulfill their all demands; they won’t respect us  because at present we are not doing so!.

Disclaimer:  There’s no intention here to hurt anyone’s emotions or make anyone feel bad. These are just my views. There’s no pin pointing to any one and no relevance to anyone’s life. If there’s any then it is just a coincidence.

My Advice:  Respect your “those parents” who have done so much for you whosoever it may be your father, mother, sibling, guardian anyone.  Help them when they are in need. Always be thankful to them because it is due to them you are able to shine out in this world.
And the most important (For those who are parents to be); try to be a good parent. If you cannot fulfill your own needs; please don’t think of bringing anyone in this world whose wishes you cannot fulfill.

Live your life to the fullest and then think of rearing someone. Keep this thing in mind; it’s a hard fact to digest; YOU WILL BE ONLY REMEMBERED BY YOUR CHILDREN IF YOU HAVE SOME AMOUNT OF CONTRIBUTION IN THEIR LIVES; JUST BIOLOGICAL RELATIONSHIPS DON’T MAKE YOU “PARENTS”.

The Gift of Giving

What comes to your mind when you read this title? Is it Money? Is it Time? Or is it something else? Well, there are thousands of tangible and intangible things that we can give.
Forget things, there are even moments of joy, happiness that we can give.

The only thing is we must get the feeling that we must give and that too without expecting anything. In this World where people believe in give and take relationships only! I find very rare people like me who love to give without any expectation of getting something in return. Yes, I do so.

I love to give because I believe that what I will give I will get back two folds no matter if that is not from the same person. Today, on the first day of this New Year; I would like to share my experiences of giving:

The Gift of Giving:

a) Gift of Giving an Idea: An experience I had in 2014 - It was 9 am in the morning. I was doing my household chores as usual. Suddenly one lady came and said” Please can you purchase one plastic bucket from me”. I have started this new business today

I said Yes I will but in exchange of that you have to take my old plastic bucket. For few minutes; she was silent and then she asked how much money you will give me along with your old bucket.

As the plastic was really of good quality, I offered INR 50 + old bucket. She agreed. I purchased. Later after few minutes, she came to me and returned to me my old bucket.

I was surprised but later I found that using my idea of exchange; she had sold all her buckets and other plastic utensils and also earned some money because from all other people she asked for both money as well as old plastic buckets. She was so happy that I could see her thankful face.

This made my day. She was unknown to that idea and using that she was able to do some good business on the first day itself.

My gift was her happy face against my small idea.”

b) Gift of Giving a Polythene Bag: An experience I had in 2015- We are regular customers of NationalHandloom Corporation. As a result, there are plenty of large polythene bags available with us.

One fine day in morning; a potato vendor saw that polythene bag and he asked” Can you give me some of these bags as these will be useful for me to keep potato wafers.

It was April; the season of yummy potato wafers and along with potatoes he used to sell wafers as well. I said “Yes I will give”.

Next day, I gave him two huge polythene bags and he was like “Thank you so much child. God will not give you a single disease even in your nail!” I was so happy to listen this that my joy knew no bounds.

On that I was thinking: Does polythene bag matters this much to this vendor that he gifted me such a big thing?

“My gift was a blessing to remain healthy forever against giving the polythene bag”.

 c) Gift of Giving someone wishes for New Year:  An experience I had on the first day of 2016 :
1st January, the first day of New Year; we wish everyone; bless everyone with success, bliss, peace and prosperity. There are even people who get thousands of wishes from everyone and then there are people who get none!

Yeah! It’s true; not everyone gets wishes for New Year. Yes, people like you and me get lots of New Year wishes from near and dear ones, from relatives, friends, well wishers and lots and lots of people.

We wish everyone but we damn care to wish those who are a part of our daily lives. There are people because of whom our lives have become so easy that if they are excluded then you or I won’t be able to sit at ease and do our work.

I guess by now you might have got the idea about whom am I talking? Did you? What you said? Parents! No. Siblings! No. Relatives! No. Friends! No. Neighbours! No. Teachers! No. Mentors! No. Prime Minister! No. President! No. Spouse! No. Then who!

Yes, these are important and of course contribute a lot but still there are some without whom it’s impossible to survive. Ok, I am ending the suspense here. These are people such as Milkman, Newspaper vendor, Grocery store owners, Vegetable Vendors, Farmers, Postman and the list is endless.

Think if your milkman doesn’t arrive on time; will you be able to go to office on time? Yes you can but without tea! And you will shout “Today that…. Not came and my day wasted!

If your vegetable vendor doesn’t supply you fresh vegetables every day, will you be able to eat good food! Yes, you will buy from restaurants but again it’s for one or two days. So, a vegetable vendor has an important role in making your day fabulous and healthy.

Likewise, most of us are addicted to have newspaper with a cup of tea. Yes, I know everybody has an app now in the mobile phone but still a Newspaper is what anyone cannot get rid of.

Think if your newspaper vendor stops coming! Oh my! How will I spend my morning time? It is taking too long to get the tea finished! These will be your comments.

In return of their services, what you give them? A bonus of Rs.50 on Diwali and that too saying there’s lot of inflation we cannot afford! Have you ever wished them? Have you ever given them anything?

Try it out. Just when you go to your grocery shop, say that shop owner “Happy New Year” with a smile. You will be amazed to see how happy that person is! How much respect he gives you!

The reason; we just buy things and move on; never greet them. But this New Year, try this out and see their happiness. I am sure your heart will flower like anything; the happiness that you will get cannot be compared to anything else.

As a return gift, say “Happy New Year” to them and experience the real joy, the real gift of giving. I did this and what I got is unexplainable.

“My gift was a huge smile on his face with special respect against wishing him Happy New Year.”

Well, these in last two years I had lots of experience of giving things to people in any form.  Talking about 2016, this was my first experience and I am sure in my whole year; this will be the most wonderful one.

Title Explanation: Generally, we find articles like “Joy of Giving” but I wrote “Gift of Giving” Reason:  Every time in return of something; I got a smiling face, a happy face, blessings and special respect.

So my best buddies; try to follow a habit of giving something to someone in any way and you will see how beautiful your life becomes. It’s not necessary to go and search for slum kids or poor people.

If you feel like giving; start giving. Show your willingness; the god inside you will guide you!
